Gerald Nastasia, Jr., D.C., D.A.B.C.O.
Dr. Gerry Nastasia is a USA trained & board certified chiropractic doctor. Â He is a cum laude honors graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. Â He holds active licenses to practice in California, Massachusetts, Missouri, Dubai, and Dubai Healthcare City. Dr. Gerry has been in practice for over twenty years. He has worked in solo, group, multidisciplinary, and academic settings. While the majority of his professional career has been spent in the United States, Dr. Gerry has also practiced in the country of Bermuda.
Dr. Gerry has completed extensive postdoctoral training in specialty of chiropractic orthopedics. He is a certified Diplomate of American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists. Dr. Gerry has been proficiency rated in Cox Technique an extremely effective and researched technique for the treatment of lumbar disc conditions. Currently, only approximately 3% of practicing chiropractors in the world have obtained this certification. Â Dr. Gerry has also received advanced training to perform manipulation under anesthesia and to perform impairment ratings.
For over ten years, he was the Clinic Director of Back and Neck Associates near Boston, MA. After this for almost five years, Dr. Gerry was the Director of Chiropractic and Rehabilitation for Alliance Medical Group, a multidisciplinary healthcare facility providing family medical, chiropractic, podiatric, physical therapy, massage therapy, and psychology services. Additionally, he performed peer reviews, independent medical evaluations, and consultative opinions for several national and regional insurance companies and corporations, including the Massachusetts General Hospital’s Department of Occupational Health.
Dr. Gerry was a member of the affiliate medical staff in Department of Medicine at Boston Regional Medical Center.  He was an instructor in Logan College of Chiropractic’s Department of Postdoctoral and Related Professional Education and Student Intern Preceptor Program.
From late 2005 until 2008, Dr. Gerry was employed as a traveling chiropractic consultant. He performed third party medical records reviews, independent medical evaluations, and he actively practiced in positions ranging from Boston, USA to Hamilton, Bermuda.
In 2008, he was appointed to the faculty of Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier California. At SCU, Dr. Gerry held the rank of an Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnosis with cross appointments to both the Department of Chiropractic Principles and Practice and the Department of Chiropractic Procedures. Dr. Gerry was a member of the University’s Quality Assurance Team, Program Outcomes Committee, and Educational Outcomes Assessment Team.
In addition to his academic teaching responsibilities, he served as a supervising clinician in the University’s Student Health Center where he was responsible for both patient care and the training of intern chiropractic doctors. In his first year at SCU, Dr. Gerry Nastasia earned the highest overall performance rating of “outstanding” on his faculty promotion assessment.  In April 2009, he received a “Best Instructor Award” from SCU’s Associated Student Body.
Dr Gerry left SCU to return to patient care full time in the Dubai.  He first practiced in Dubai Healthcare City, now Dubai. In addition to his patient care, he also serves as postdoctoral lecture:
In 2009, he was invited to speak at the Emirates Chiropractic Association Annual Meeting.
In 2010, he was invited to speak at the Rheumatology Middle East Conference held in Dubai.
In 2011, he was invited to speak at the Arab Health Congress: Orthopedics Section.
Dr. Gerry particularly enjoys treating challenging cases, spinal disc conditions and all types of sports injuries from the professional athlete to the “weekend warrior”.
